One travel experience that prepares me for the Global engineering RAP is when I went to the 2023 EF global leadership summit in Berlin Germany where me and 30 of my classmates where tasked with listing to problems from other students around the world and find environmentally sustainable solutions to those problems. Then after coming up with solutions we would present our solutions to judges for the opportunity for our ideas to be presented at the Nobel piece prize museum. This showed me new perspectives and cultures as many of the problems presented from students around the world revolved around a specific lifestyle and how real world problems affects these peoples everyday lives.
Global experiences and perspectives improve the field of engineering as exposure to different cultures, industries, and environments can help engineers around the world gain a better understanding of what is happening or what is the problem, even though they might be from two different places in the world they can connect and collaborate to come up with a solution for that problem. As engineers who understand various societal needs can create more universal solutions, ensuring that the technology or infrastructure developed works for diverse populations. And with this integration of knowledge from around the world can allow for solutions to various problems much more effective, efficient, and timely. This ties to my experience and the 2023 EF global leadership summit in Berlin where we listened to problems from all around the world, and would come up with solutions to those problems in an effective and sustainable way.
Firstly I want to be a member of the Global engineering RAP at CU boulder because it would allow me to find the help I need much faster and help me be successful at CU boulder. Second learning about new culture and experiences from other people at the language group dinners actually sounds fun and probably more effective way to learn new languages rather than from a lecture. Lastly I want to be a member specifically here because I have heard of the better living conditions and most likely closer to the classes I would need to be taking for the year.
