Supporting local businesses is about to get easier
51³Ô¹ÏÍø has launched 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Buy Local, a program to connect local-, women- and minority-owned businesses with campus staff, faculty and student groups who purchase goods and services on behalf of the university. Ìý
Why it mattersÌý
By including and supporting local and diverse businesses in 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s supply chain, the campus hopes to create opportunity, promote innovation and stimulate the economic vitality of the surrounding community. Ìý
Already the largest economic contributor in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø County, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø departments and organizations have an opportunity to increase their positive impact by supporting local and diverse vendors in sectors like food services, marketing, printing, lodging and more. Ìý
How it worksÌý
Interested business owners complete a short, online Vendor Application Form. Vendors are then added to a list of local businesses available on 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s Office of Government and Community Engagement website.  Ìý
