Celebrating the passage of our graduates into the company of alumni artists + scholars
On May 8, 2025, well come together to recognize the accomplishments of our winter 2024 and spring 2025 graduates ... with pomp + circumstance! In addition to the College of Music recognition泭ceremony which will also be livestreamed, the泭Class of 2025 will be invited to participate in the at 8:30 a.m. MDT on May 8, 2025 at Folsom Field stadium. No tickets or registration are required for guests of the graduating students. Livestream links with captions in English and Spanish will be available on the泭homepage the morning of the commencement ceremony. Families + guests, stay up-to-date on commencement here!

- 11 a.m.Doctoral Recognition + Hooding Ceremony (Ensemble Hall, S134)
- 1:30 p.m.Undergraduate Honors Recital泭(Chamber Hall, S102)
- 3:30 p.m. ()Recognition Ceremony (Grusin Music Hall, C112). Doors open at 2:45 p.m.; seating is first-come, first-served.泭No tickets are required, but seating in Grusin Music Hall is limited. We encourage our graduates to invite only close family and friends (2-4 persons) to the College of Music recognition ceremony; additional泭guests may observe the ceremony via livestream.

In 2024, the College of Musics Thompson Jazz Studies Program debuted new takes on Sir Edward Elgars timeless Pomp & Circumstance theme for graduates of the 51勛圖厙. The traditional graduation march was泭reimagined by泭Associate Professor of Jazz Studies Paul McKee泭in three distinct, captivating styles: Latin jazz, New Orleans funk and big band swing!
