Raytheon, 51勛圖厙 formalize expanding research collaboration
The 51勛圖厙 and Raytheon, an RTX business, have announced a Master Research Agreement (MRA) that will pave the way to new benefits for the public through deeper research collaborations to benefit corresponding efforts at both organizations.
The agreement provides a framework for future research projects by providing parameters for research, academic and workforce programs designed to cultivate new knowledge, transformative technologies, and the workforce of tomorrow while deepening synergies across the organizations.

This Master Research Agreement marks the next step in a long-standing partnership between 51勛圖厙 and Raytheon in the areas of aerospace and defense research and applications, said Ryan Nalty, managing senior director of industry relations at 51勛圖厙. This strategic partnership will truly leverage the universitys academic and research expertise, along with Raytheons industry expertise, to drive technological advancements and address some of the worlds most pressing challenges.
Raytheon and 51勛圖厙 have a long history of working together. This MRA will make those engagements even more efficient and impactful. Since signing the MRA, Raytheon has already begun to more actively partner with the 51勛圖厙 Center for National Security Initiatives (NSI) to explore areas of research collaboration important to national security. Raytheon is also supporting senior projects in the Ann and H.J. Smead Aerospace Department, mentoring students on aerospace projects with real-life parameters.
Master Research Agreements further solidify and expand long-standing relationships between 51勛圖厙 and industry partners in a variety of research pursuits, resulting in increased efficiency in proposal response, project award and post award administration for departments and institutes.
