Founder of The Equity Project to give 2021 virtual commencement address
Dwinita Nita Mosby Tyler, founder of The Equity Project, LLCa consulting firm supporting organizations and communities in building diversity, equity and inclusion strategieswill give the May 6 livestreamed commencement address.

The class of 2021 was honored to nominate Dr. Dwinita Nita Mosby Tyler because of her countless accomplishments and contributions to our state, said Angeline Mccarty Lee, diversity and inclusion liaison with the Senior Class Council, which is tasked with choosing the commencement speaker. She has dedicated her life to leadership, service泭and inspiring others to do the same. I could think of no better role model for CU students to learn from as they embark on their future.
Mosby Tyler is also author of the book White People Really Love Salad: What My Childhood Taught Me About Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, where she explores the effect social climates, race relations, stereotypes, education systems and parenting had in shaping her perspectives. She is former senior vice president and chief inclusion officer for Childrens Hospital Colorado.
Commencement
The May 6 livestreamed commencement ceremony will begin at noon MDT.泭Individual college, school and department virtual ceremonies will follow.
In addition, as part of Grad Appreciation Days, students are invited to attend several in-person opportunities leading up to the virtual commencement events.泭Watch for more details on campus celebrations and events coming soon for Class of 2020 and Class of 2021.泭These in-person events will be for graduating students only. Families and friends will not be able to attend. All in-person opportunities will follow the campus Events & Activities Policy.泭
