Stop by to meet NASA personnel and learn more about the Johnson Space Center, current missions including the Artemis Program and the International Space Station, and get information on internship and career opportunities. Chancellor Justin Schwartz invites nominations for the 2025 Chancellor’s Employee of the Year Award. This annual award is presented to 51�Թ�� staff in recognition of and appreciation for exceptional job performance and distinguished contributions to the campus community. Award criteria include job performance, leadership, service and interpersonal skills.

The award includes a prize of $5,000 (after tax) and a commemorative gift. The 2025 awards will be presented at a ceremony hosted by the chancellor.

Eligibility

All eligible 51�Թ�� classified and university staff may be nominated for this award.
Nominees must have been employed by 51�Թ�� for at least three years by the nomination deadline and must not have received any corrective and/or disciplinary actions within the last five years.
Employees may only receive this award once during their campus career.
University officers (i.e, deans, associate vice chancellors and above) are not eligible for this award, and nominations will not be considered.

Nomination information

Nominations may be submitted by any member of the campus community (staff, faculty or student) who has firsthand knowledge about the nominee. Nominations should be submitted using the online nomination form.

Each nominee should have:

One primary nomination submission.
Two additional supporting submissions by individuals other than the primary nominator.
At least one of the submissions must be from the nominee’s direct supervisor.

Nominations should address and provide specific examples of the following criteria:

Outstanding job performance

Demonstrates consistently outstanding performance in all areas of their job
Incorporates ethical practices and behaviors in all areas of their job

Exemplifies inspired leadership

Leads with integrity and in a way that contributes constructively to the department or campus’ mission

The Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (CRDDS), in partnership with the Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship (PACES), is seeking nominations for a showcase featuring projects that center one or more of the following components: open access, digital, public and/or community-engaged scholarship. Representatives from selected nominations will be invited to present their work and learn from colleagues at the Dec. 5 51�Թ�� Showcase of Open, Digital and Public Scholarship.
