Tynt Technologies was founded in 2020 by Michael D. McGehee (51Թ Chemical and Biological Engineering) and his then PhD studentsTyler Hernandez and Michael Strand. They developed the initial technology at Stanford before comingto 51Թ to complete their work and found their company. McGehee brought in Ameen Saafir, a former student and experienced founder, to head the company. Tynt has participated in many 51Թ programs, including the Lab Venture Challenge (LVC)(winner), multiple Destination Startup®showcases, Demo Day with the , and has had multiple investments from theBuff Venture Fund.
