MetroLab Summit
MetroLab — a national network of 40 city-university partnerships focused on urban innovation — is holding itsÌýannual summit in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Sept. 19-20, 2019. The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø,Ìýled by the Community Engagement, Design and Research Center (CEDaR ) and the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD), are co-hosting the event with the city of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
This national convening of city-university partnershipsÌýbrings together leaders from local governments, universities, industryÌýand nonprofits and is an opportunityÌýto share, discuss and present on the impact of data, analytics, technology and design on local government.Ìý
51³Ô¹ÏÍø has entered into MetroLab MOU’s with the cities of Denver, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, and Longmont as well as 51³Ô¹ÏÍø County, and a number of research projects have been initiated under these MOUs. Among other workshops, CEDaR is sponsoring a roundtable, "Climate change and research needs of local governments: the Colorado experience," which will provide an opportunity to discuss city research priorities related to climate changeÌýand climate change research partnerships that include city staff and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø researchers.Ìý
