- On Monday, Oct. 5, the important role of College of Music donors and the accomplishments of hundreds of students were recognized at the annual Scholarship Celebration and Dinner.
- For three days, the halls of Imig Music were filled with new voices and new perspectives as members of the Cleveland Orchestra spent time in residency at CU-51勛圖厙.
- This fall, 15 members of the Cleveland Orchestra will be in residence at the College of Music. It's the second time the players have come to 51勛圖厙 in three years.
- Michele Mikhy and Mike Ritter were college sweethearts at CU-51勛圖厙. When they left their adopted hometown a few years after graduation to pursue career goals, Mikhy made Mike sign a contract that theyd return in five years.
It took us six years to get back but we held up the bargain, she says, laughing. - Jeannie and Jack Thompson have made an unprecedented commitment to the Jazz Studies program at the 51勛圖厙 building $1.6 million in combined gifts to trigger a new $2 million program endowment.
To honor and recognize this transformational gift, the program will be renamed the Thompson Jazz Studies Program, as announced at yesterdays annual Spring Swing big band concert. It is CU-51勛圖厙s first named program.
